Bruce Burns Joins Syfy Series Alphas As New Showrunner

EXCLUSIVE: Syfy’s drama Alphas is heading into Season 2 with a brand new showrunner. Bruce Burns has became a member of the series starring David Strathairn as executive producer/showrunner. He replaces Ira Steven Behr, who's departing after running the series in the first season. Alphas, from BermanBraun, Universal Cable Prods. and co-designers Zak Penn and Michael Karnow, follows a team ofordinary people who possess remarkable and unusual mental abilities. It had been restored for any second season earlier this year. Burns assists being an executive producer on the program alongside Penn and BermanBrauns Gail Berman,Lloyd Braunand Gene Stein. Karnow can serve as co-executive producer. The gig stretches Burns’s relationship with Syfy. He most lately offered being an executive producer/showrunner around the network’s series Eureka, which wrapped production on its fifth and final season recently. ICM-repped Burns’s series credits includes ER, Medium and 4400.
